Due to the timing of the GPAA Gold Show in Ft. Worth, there was no meeting for February. The Round Rock Chapter had a booth at the Gold Show. We set up our panning trough for the public and charged $1 per pan. The trough was very busy all weekend. In fact, several vendors felt like our trough had most of the attention. The club also sold $1 tickets for the door prize of a 35lb bag of concentrates from Thermal City Gold Mine. The club also sold more tickets for the major prizes to be drawn on Sunday. Those prizes included 2 handheld GPS units and a night vision scope. The winners from the drawing were: Linda Jordan GPS unit Stephen Couser GPS unit Ken Pate Night vision scope Pat Gola 35lb bag of concentrates Melanie Morrow panned up a small piece of platinum from the panning trough. The GPAA was very impressed by the turnout of people to the show. All the vendors reported good sales. They are planning on returning in 2006. Tom and Cindy Massie, along with 2 of their children stopped by our booth and posed with the club for pictures. We greatly appreciated the time they spent with us. We also want to thank Nancy DeFalco of the GPAA for helping us throughout the whole show.
