The meeting started at 4:00 pm at Cooper’s Pit BBQ in downtown Round Rock. There were 6 total attendees. New members were identified and introduced: Mark Gaither Roy Peterson
The Llano Heritage Days Festival will be October 20th, 21st and 22nd. The GPAA will be represented by 4 Texas chapters. We will have a booth setup to recruit new members and display information packets for landowners. We are being asked to bring homemade prospecting equipment for demonstrations. Kevin Green will bring his blue bowl and mini recirculator to process cons. We need volunteers to help with the booth. Kevin will post the information on the website and have volunteers reply by October 14th. Setup for the festival will be on Friday with the main public show on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a panning championship held on Saturday. As of this meeting there is $1,013.45 in the Chapter’s bank account. Kevin will contact Randy Asterman to see if he would be interested in demonstrating his rock grinder.
